After a weekend of rehearsals, the Festival Choir performed Handel’s Messiah part 1 and the Hallelujah Chorus for the closing event of Hay Festival Winter Weekend 2018 in St Mary's Church.
A "come and sing" project that ran throughout the weekend, professional concert singer Fiona Evans and the Hay Community Choir welcomed festival-goers into their fold to deliver a re-imagined take on Handel's Messiah.
Accompanied by Aeron Preston on the piano and with Robert Evans as the bass soloist, the performance offered the perfect end to a weekend of wonders.
