Free trees

On a glorious sunny, frosty day, Hay town is looking its best, and another in our series of Woodland Trust walks is underway, this time around the streets and down by the Wye. Derek Wright is leading a group of walkers on a Tree ID walk, helping us to appreciate the variety and richness just outside our front door. For residents and Festivalgoers alike, it's an eye-opener into the wealth of benefits a tree offers, for our wellbeing, our wildlife and our environment. This is the fifth and last walk over the Winter Weekend, as part of our ongoing partnership with the Woodland Trust in support of their Great Climate Fightback and our Thirty Acres Project. Every year the Woodland Trust gives away thousands of native trees for gardens of all sizes.
