We operate two public car parks during the Festival each year, as well as offering disabled parking on site. Parking can be pre-booked from spring 2019.
The Car Park at Hay in Aid of Macmillan is the closest public car park to the Festival site. The cost is £7 per car per day (2018 prices), and you can come and go as you please.
There is additional Park & Ride car parking available at Clyro Court (Baskerville Hall Hotel, HR3 5LE). The cost £5 per day (2018 prices), with a free and regular shuttle bus which drops you off at the Festival entrance.
Disabled car parking on the Festival site can only be accessed with a blue badge. The disabled car park costs £5 per day and is subject to availability. During peak times, we operate a 'drop off only' facility which is available if the car park is full.
Hay Festival offers electric car charging points at the Clyro Court Park & Ride site (HR3 5LE). There are four 13 amp sockets available and, if your car requires it, you need to bring your own adapter.
The chargers are available on a first-come first-served basis. There is also one fast charger available in the local area at Drovers Cycle Hire – you can book this online.
Please park with consideration for local residents. We ask you not to park on the highway or grass verges.
