Isabel Allende in conversation with Jan Martínez Ahrens

Colombia Digital 2021,

An event that pays homage to that great woman of letters, Isabel Allende, who received the 2020 Liber Prize for her career and her passion for communicating with readers. She has written works such as The House of the Spirits (1982), Forest of the Pygmies (2004) and Inés of My Soul (2006). This last novel was made into a television series by RTVE in 2020. That same year she published her latest book, Mujeres del alma mía. This memoire and essay is about the writer’s relationship with feminism and the fact of being a woman. With this book, Allende also calls for the need to live one’s old age to the full, "My story is told in every year I have lived and every wrinkle I have.” She will talk about her career, her experiences and her writing with the director of El País América Jan Martínez Ahrens.
