BBC Radio 3’s arts and ideas programme explores our ideas of land in poetry from the inspiration of the British landscape to war territory with guests Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury, now Master of Magdalene College, Cambridge, patron of the Wilfred Owen Society and author of books including The Tragic Imagination and Simon Armitage, the current Oxford Professor of Poetry and the author of eleven poetry collections including his latest, The Unaccompanied and Flit, published by Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Chaired by Rana Mitter, Professor of History and Politics of Modern China at the University of Oxford and presenter of documentaries for BBC Radio 3 and 4.
