Lorena ÁLVAREZ

Journalist and writer. She has covered the most important news about Peru and the world over the last 12 years, ten of which she has spent working at Latina Television. She studied Journalism at the Pontifica Universidad Católica del Perú and has a postgraduate degree in Politics from the Ortega y Gasset Institute in Spain. She has published two successful books about gender violence in Peru, No te mato porque te quiero (Planeta, 2018) and Primero Muerta (Planeta, 2019). In recent years she has specialized in the matters of equality, women’s empowerment and violence. She also studies how the media cover and report cases of femicide. She is very active in the social media.
