(Venezuela, 1941) This economist and historian is one of Venezuela’s most important food writers. A lecturer at the University of the Andes, he collaborates with various academic institutions in Spain, the United States, France, Canada and Colombia. He has won the National Nutrition Prize, the Gourmand World Cookbook Award and Venezuela’s Gran Tenedor de Oro prize. He is also a member of Venezuela Gastronómica and the Venezuelan Academy of Gastronomy.
