Oswaldo CHANOVE

(Arequipa, Peru, 1953) He studied at the La Salle college and the Universidad Nacional de San Agustín. In 1979 he won the José María Arguedas Poetry Prize for his first book, El héroe y su relación con la heroína (1983), which was followed by others, such as Estudio sobre la acción y la pasión (1987), El jinete pálido (1994), his novel Inka Trail (1998) and Canción de amor de un capitán de caballería para una prostituta pelirroja (2002). In 2005 he began his blog, Crónica del Instante. His book Las palabras no pueden expresar lo que yo experimenté (2008) won the 2010 Luces Prize. His latest work is El motor de la combustión interna (2018).
