(Mexico City, 1976) Raquel Castro is a writer, screenwriter, educator and cultural promotor. In 2012 she won the Gran Angular Prize for children’s writing with the novel Ojos llenos de sombra (SM/CONACULTA, 2012). Her most recent publication is the writing manual Cómo escribir tu propia historia (Alfaguara, 2018), co-written with Alberto Chimal, with whom she has a YouTube channel that covers literature and related themes, at http://www.youtube.com/AlbertoyRaquelMX.
