Elvira NAVARRO

(Spain, 1978) A Philosophy graduate, writer, literary critic and publisher. She was included on the list of the 22 best writers in Spanish under 35 by the magazine Granta. She has published three books, all well received by critics: La ciudad en invierno (2007), which won her the Fnac New Talent accolade; La ciudad feliz, winner of the 25th Jaén Novel Prize and the 4th Tormenta Prize for the best new author, and chosen by the Culturas section of the newspaper Público as one of the best books of the year; and, more recently, La trabajadora (2014). She has contributed to magazines such as El Cultural, Ínsula, Letra Libres, Quimera, Turia and Calle 20, and to the newspapers Público and El País. As a literary critic she has worked on Qué Leer and the blog La tormenta en un vaso. She currently works as a guest editor at the Caballo de Troya publishing house (Penguin Random House Group).
