Anne-Marie MÉTAILIÉ

metailie-anne-marie Anne-Marie Métailié is a French publisher. Before working in publishing, she studied Politics in Paris and worked as a sociology researcher under Pierre Bourdieu. In 1979 she founded Editions Métailié, a company that began by publishing social science books and later started to print foreign publications. It has been a major publisher of Latin American literature since 1983. It currently focuses on foreign literature, particularly the Latin American novelists L. Sepúlveda, P. Taibo II, E. Serna, L. Padura, K. Suárez and E. Osorio, and many others; Italian writers such as A. Camilleri and G. de Cataldo; the Scottish writers J. Meek and J. Burnside; and Icelandic writers such as Arnaldur Indridason. In 2014 the publishing house, which has a catalogue of over 1000 titles, celebrated its 35th birthday.
