(Mexico) Director of the Universidad Veracruzana Press. He received his degree in Communication from the Universidad Autónoma de Coahuila, a Masters in Literature from the UV and another in Hispanic Philology from the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones CientÃficas, Madrid. He has worked as an editor at academic institutions and participated actively in copyright collectives. His academic work focuses on Mexican and New Spanish literature, dealing with visual discourse, symbolic culture, public celebrations, the use of ekphrasis and different rhetorical manifestations in the 16th and 17th centuries. Aside from his academic career, he has published three books of poetry and two of essays.
