Andrea PALET

Andrea Palet is the managing director of Laurel, a Chilean publishing house founded in 2014. A Journalism graduate from Barcelona’s Universidad Autónoma and a press columnist, she has been an academic since 2010 and today runs the Master’s in Publishing and the Diploma in Proofreading at the Universidad Diego Portales in Santiago de Chile. She is also the editor of the cultural magazine Dossier. She has lectured in style and narrative to students of Journalism, Medicine and Economics. In Colombia her columns have appeared in El Malpensante (2008-2015). She has recently published a compilation of her columns entitled Leo y olvido (2018) and the translation of The Tiger in the House. A Cultural History of the Cat, by Carl Van Vechten (2017).
