Interdisciplinary cultural producer, specializing in creative projects involving cultural and artistic development. Communications graduate with emphasis on Creative Projects from Emerson College in Boston, USA. He also has a Master's degree in Culture, Media and Arts from New York University. Co-founder of Contexto Media and has worked in the structuring, curating, and directing of creative projects with organisations and artists as varied as 826 Boston, WorldMusic/CRASHarts, Banco de la República, Fundación Gabo, Barranquijazz, the British Council, Semana magazine, Feria del Millón, Rubén Blades, and others. Currently, he is the Director of the Art and Cultural Directorate of the Universidad del Norte, where he has promoted projects such as JAGÜEY: art meetings in the Caribbean; the Cayeye Festival: voices from the global Caribbean, and various exhibitions, concerts, editorial, museum projects and contemporary art shows. As a freelance columnist he has published in the Boston Globe, FADER magazine, VICE, El Heraldo, and La Silla Vacía. He absolutely believes in the power that culture and art have to change social paradigms and guide us towards more open, inclusive, purposeful, and modern communities.
