Claudia DE LA GARZA

de-la-garza-claudia Claudia de la Garza (Mexico City, 1980) is an art historian with a doctorate in social sciences, specializing in Gender Studies. A teacher and researcher into subjects such as fashion, contemporary art and feminism, she is fascinated by the many ways in which we use clothing to create identities and transform our bodies into sites of dissidence. She writes non-fiction and has discovered, in critical museography and curating, a platform for enunciation, and has created numerous exhibitions covering social themes both in Mexico and abroad, at institutions such as the Memory and Tolerance Museum, the Casa de la Memoria Indómita, MUCA Campus, Shanghai Art Museum, Tokyo’s Bunkamura Museum, the Pinacothèque de Paris and the Thyssen Bornemisza Museum in Madrid. She is currently the Coordinator of the UNAM HOY (IISUE-UNAM) Museum.
